The New York Times Store recently released a series of images from its 100+ year old photo archive, many of which have never been seen before and to celebrate, the Times tapped 5 celebrated interior designers Laura Kirar, Kelly Wearstler, Vicente Wolf, Jonathan Adler and Thom Filicia to curate a selection of 10 photos from the archive that reflects their design aesthetic and appreciation for the use of photography in interiors.  The collection is called 50 Photographs and is now available for purchase at The New York Times Store. Charlotte Moss is an interior designer whom I have long admired. She is the epitome of style and grace and I am personally drawn to her timeless design aesthetic which embraces a sensibility of comfort, elegance and livability. On Monday evening I had the pleasure of attending Elle Decor’s second annual Women in Design event which celebrated five leading women in the design industry. The event featured a panel discussion moderated by editor-in-chief Margaret Russell with designers Holly Hunt, Michelle Nussbaumer, Kelly Wearstler and Charlotte Moss, who was honored with a special Vision Award. Before last week’s Design on a Dime benefit I had an opportunity to chat with a few of the designers as they were setting up their vignettes and I also caught up with a few more designers at the opening reception. It was fun hearing about their inspiration, the resources they used in their designs and especially the creative stories they came up with to help guide their design process.
