Dominican Republic Weekend Getaway 1

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about how I was dying to take a vacation to unwind and clear my head and obviously, I didn’t waste any time at all! After a week straight of frigid temperatures in the teens coupled with feeling a bit scatter brained going into the new year, I decided to book a last-minute getaway to the Dominican Republic. I’m so glad I did! I’m here, doing absolutely nothing and having a wonderful time. Here are a few snaps from my Instagram – be sure to follow me there @nicolegibbonsstyle for real time updates on what I’m up to. Can’t wait to share a photo diary of my trip with you all very soon!

  4. How gorgeous! I was just there in May when I got married. We plan to go back for our anniversary. They treat you like royalty in the DR! Can’t wait to see the rest of the photos.

  5. It has been a great satisfaction for me being a true Dominican to read about our country on your website. Next time you come visit Las Terrenas or Punta Cana they are both marvelous getaway places to visit. So happy that you had a chance to flavour our hospitality and our warmth.

  6. This post totally motivated me to do the same. I have been traveling around the US alone for work for years, why not for a quick vacay. I leave for the Bahamas tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration. I feel so empowered!
