I recently came across a cool feature on the website of San Francisco lifestyle magazine 7×7. Three area designers were given 10 days to re-create a room inspired by the work of three of today’s top names in the industry. Janelle Lovener, owner of the chic San Francisco home furnishings shop Anthem, was inspired by this living room in an Orlando Diaz-Azcuy designed beach house in East Hampton:

Jen West with her Labradoodle, amusingly named Truly Scrumptious!

Jen West is a talented interior designer based in Eugene, Oregon who I connected with through this very blog several months ago. We became instant pen pals, emailing back and forth, and when she first shared photos of her home with me, I was wowed by her work. She is definitely a designer to watch and I am very pleased to feature her here on So Haute. The similarities between Alexandriuk’s work and Smith’s are uncanny. Both have a very polished look, grounded in traditionalism with lots of ethnic influences woven throughout …

Smith Collection of home fragrances for Agraria which I had heard about but never had the chance to experience in person. I have to say, collection smells amazing which isn’t surprising given the fact that Michael S. Smith has impeccable taste. The line includes candles, reed diffusers and and fragrance sheets made of two signature fragrances created by Smith. The scents, Ankgor and Palma, are exotic, spicy and deeply intriguing. You can purchase the Michael S. Smith home fragrance…
