Last weekend I had a chance to check out Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel, the much anticipated documentary on legendary fashion icon Diana Vreeland. Directed by her granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Immordino Vreeland, the film is a brilliant portrait of a kooky, eccentric and often hilarious woman who lived a fabulous life filled with celebrity friends and, of course, fashion. Elle Decor A-List

In the interior design world, there are only a handful of top tier shelter magazines that actively champion the work of the industry’s design talent and one of those is Elle Decor. Through its annual A-List, the title pays homage to the top interior design talent in the biz. The premiere issue of Trad Home will hit virtual newsstands in April

Earlier this week I attended an exclusive dinner hosted by Traditional Home publisher Beth Brenner and Lonny editor-in-chief Michelle Adams who assembled a group of notable designers and industry influencers at Freemans to introduce the top 20 “New Traditional” designers to watch in 2011. The top 20 will be featured in the March issue of Traditional Home as in years past, while the inaugural issue of Trad Home (the digital Traditional Home/Lonny spinoff) will feature more extensive coverage of each of the designers and their work. …
