A couple of years ago I discovered a cool new company called St. Frank which produces beautiful textile art and accessories handcrafted by artisans from developing countries around the world. You’ll find authentic, handmade goods from places such as India, Camaroon, Laos, Mali, Senegal, Turkey, Burkina Faso, Uzbekistan and more. Aside from their products being absolutely beautiful, I find the element of social responsibility as a part of St. Frank’s business model quite admirable. The company’s founder, Christina Bryant, even kept her social mission in mind when considering the company’s name, St. Frank, which pays homage to St. Francis of Assisi, son of a wealthy textile merchant, who dedicated his life to the poor. I’ve been dying to use their pieces and am excited to finally order a few pieces for a big project I am working on son – can’t wait to share! In the meantime, Have a look at the gorgeousness from St. Frank below. You can shop St. Frank textiles here.
