10 Favorite Summer Nail Polish Colors

One of the things I love most about being a bonafide girlie girl is experimenting with different beauty looks, especially when it comes to nail polish! I have so much fun playing around with different colors and it’s such a fun way to show off my personality and reflect whatever mood I’m feeling. And for a related yet not so fun fact, I don’t have a dishwasher and hate wearing gloves when washing dishes by hand which means my manis never last long so I always have a great excuse to change up my polish:-) I usually change my polish color twice a week and in the summer months, I’m all about bold, bright shades! Here’s a look at the 10 favorite nail colors that I’m loving most for summer!

First up, my absolute favorite polish is the Vinylux Weekly Polish by CND. I discovered it when I first went to get my nails done at a shop in my neighborhood called The Nail Suite which is owned by celebrity manicurist Lisa Logan. She is Beyoncé’s longtime manicurist and works with other major stars such as Katy Perry, Madonna and many more! I was explaining to Ashanti, one of the manicurists there, how my manicures never last because of doing dishes and she immediately said “you need to try Vinylux!” She used it on my nails that day and I’ve been hooked on the polish brand ever since. It lasts a full week, is fast-drying, super durable and the color is self-adhesive so you don’t need a base coat! It’s the truly the best polish ever! I usually buy it from drugstore.com and have started to amass a pretty impressive color collection. These are the Vinylux shades I’m loving most for summer…

From left to right: “Lilac Longing” – a soft pastel purple hue, “Romantique” – a universally flattering sheer pink, “Tropix” – a bold coral color, “Hot Pop Pink” – a vibrant pink that totally makes your nails pop and, finally, “Lobster Roll” – a vivid orangey red shade reminiscent of a boiled lobster shell.

Another polish brand I always love are the L’Oreal Colour Riche polishes. It’s super affordable and I love their range of colors as well as their square shaped brush tips which help the polish go on more precisely. Colors shown from left to right: “Violet Vixen”  – a lively shade of fuchsia, “Now You Sea Me” a fresh aqua color that reminds you of the clear blue sea. (I’m wearing it here) and “Spice Things Up” a rosy, clay color. It looks fabulous on my skin tone and I wear this one when I want a touch of subtle color.

Last but not least are these two pinks from Essie. I’ve never met a pink I didn’t like but these two are my absolute faves! On the left is “Cascade Cool” – the perfect bubblegum shade (I’m wearing it on Instagram here) and on the right, Secret Story – an intense, almost neon pink. I always get a ton of compliments whenever I wear this color!
