Are you as obsessed with ABC’s Scandal as I am? I have been waiting with bated breath for the new episode which airs tonight and am giddy with excitement! I watched all of the sneak previews and am dying to know what’s happening with Mama Pope, can’t wait to see the drama ensue between Mellie and Olivia, hear what bombshell Sally Langston is going to drop and, of course, see the Olivia/Fitz love story continue to unfold. This is seriously the best show on television. If you don’t watch Scandal, you won’t understand and you are seriously missing out on some good TV. But to get back on the topic of decorating, In honor of Scandal’s return, I’m breaking down the ever so chic Olivia Pope’s living room decor and showing you how to get the look. Just like Olivia Pope’s wardrobe – which is filled with white crepe pantsuits, ivory silk blouses, gray cashmere and classic trench coats – Olivia Pope’s apartment is feminine, elegant and timeless with a neutral color palette accented with soft touches of color. The space also has an air of simplicity about it. Nothing in the room feels fussy or pretentious and most importantly, it is super comfortable. Because, after a long day of being a gladiator boss, fixing scandals and engaging in her own scandalous love affair with the leader of the free world, Ms. Pope needs a cozy spot to curl up with her glass of red wine and cry as she contemplates the meaning of her complex life.
