DVF's Paris Apartment

In case you didn’t know, I worship Diane von Furstenberg. She is beautiful, fearless, strong and her sense of style is impeccable. She also has the most fascinating life story and I love everything that she stands for  which centers around her goal to inspire confidence in women. Here are a few photos of DVF’s Paris apartment which were published last year in InStyle. When she found the place it had no floors, no doors, no plumbing and its only inhabitants were pigeons but despite these drawbacks, DVF saw potential and fell in love with its incredible veiws. Located on what DVF says is “the most charming street in Saint-Germain” the apartment boasts views of the Eiffel Tower from one window and the Seine from another. With the help of legendary French decorator Francois Catroux, DVF transformed the derelicht space into her dream apartment in the City of Light. The space has an open floorplan with one room flowing into the next, and plenty of seating as DVF wanted to be able to plop down anywhere in the apartment and work or relax. DVF says she wanted her place in Paris to feel as if it were the best suite in the most luxurious Parisian hotel and thinks of this home as her private little  hideaway. It is filled with rich colors, patterns, textures and that exude DVF’s signature style and an air of romanticism that evokes the spirit of Paris. Enjoy the photos!

  1. Gorgeous, just gorgeous. I love the story behind the place and that she trusted her gut and made a home out of it. Perfect.

I am so glad I found your site. I really found you by accident, while I was browsing on Google for something else. Anyways I am here now and would just like to say thank you for a informative post and an all round enjoyable blog. (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read through it all at the minute, but I have added your website to my favorites, so when I have time I will be back to read more. Please do keep up the awesome job!
