Here’s a first look at the November cover of Architectural Digest which features comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi gracing the cover amidst the backdrop of their stunning Beverly Hills home. Designed by architects Buff & Hensman and later expanded by interior designer Melinda Ritz, the secluded, 9500 square foot estate combines two neighboring properties and includes a media room, a large pool, several dozen fruit trees and even a meditation room where the couple enjoys massages. Ellen and Portia furnished their home with the help of several LA antiques dealers and decorators, including Tommy and Kathleen Clements, Cliff Fong and Harrison Holman, who consulted the couple on their choices of furniture, accessories and art. Their enviable collection includes works by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Check out the sneak peek photos below (I especially love the shot of Ellen’s sneakers and Portia’s stilettos!) and for more, be sure to pick up the November issue of Architectural Digest on newsstands October 11!
