At the beginning of the year I outlined some of my new year’s resolutions right here on this very blog. My #1 resolution: “Blog more frequently.” Ha! After more than two months without a single post let’s just say I’ve failed miserably at following through on my goals thus far. I’m feeling totally guilty for leaving all of you readers hanging but I’ve vowed to get back to regular posting starting NOW! So…why the reason for the lack of posts? Besides being crazy busy with my day job and traveling a ton (the life of a publicist!) I had also been feeling a bit uninspired. Now that things are back on track, I thought I’d give you a little peek at what I’ve been up to over the past couple of months…

At the end of January I spent some time in Chicago, one of my favorite cities in the country and home to my alma mater. I caught up with friends, stopped by some of my favorite design shops and visited one of the city’s many art galleries to check out the work of a contemporary artist whose work I adore…you’ll have to check back soon to find out who:)

During the first week of February I spent a long weekend in Toronto checking out all of the amazing design resources, shops and restaurants the city has to offer. The weather was beyond freezing but I still had a great time and I can’t wait to share all of the amazing shops I stumbled upon during my visit! Stay tuned for a Toronto home shopping guide!

For New York, the month of February brought snow, snow and more snow! In fact, around 37 inches of snow was dumped on the city alone during the month, making it the snowiest February in New York in 141 years! Needless to say, when I wasn’t traveling I spent lots of time being a homebody in my apartment in February. I don’t think I can take any more snow so hopefully we won’t be seeing any again in New York until next winter!

In March, the weather in New York finally started to turn and I recently took a visit to Central Park to relax and enjoy a peaceful respite from the city. New York is a crazy busy city and life here moves at a hectic pace so I love being able to “get away” to the Park and feel like I’m in a totally different place. I can’t wait until the weather stays consistently warm & sunny so I can go back more often!

Most recently, I spent a wonderful week in Los Angeles. I was there for work and extended my trip into a long weekend. While I was in town I caught up with friends, ate at some fabulous restaurants, spent time laying out at the pool and even had a chance to visit the beach. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! I swear, the more and more I visit LA, the more and more I feel the itch to move there! I love the laid back lifestyle and waking up to sunshine and palm trees everyday wouldn’t be half bad:) We’ll see what the future has in store! My trip to LA also happened to coincide with WestWeek (the market week for the design industry on the west coast) so I was able to partake in a few fun design events and had the pleasure of meeting some of my favorite interior designers! Look out for a recap of my trip to LA next week.

So now it’s April and here I am. Reinvigorated. Inspired. Excited about the future. It feels good to be back to blogging! I’ve missed you guys!

xoxo
