How great is this Chinoiserie inspired porcelain dinnerware from Spode? The beautiful pattern was adapted from one of their 19th century designs. A 20-piece set which serves four is currently on sale for $199. The red Chinese fretwork chargers are $215 for a set of 4. Available here.

American artist and product designer Michael Aram designed these beautifully detailed pomegranate shaped salt & pepper shakers which are made of gold plate and oxidized bronze. These will surely be a conversation piece at any dinner table. They’re also a great gift idea. The set is $99. Available here.

  1. I love those pewter bowls but they must not really be pewter, right? Doesn’t it cause insanity or some kind of poisoning or something? Ahhh, the prices we pay for beauty… 🙂

  6. love the pewter icecream serving set. something about vintage utensils that make food taste more real. the simplicity of it helps to focus you on the flavor. and it just makes so much sense to put icy cold delights in something that keeps it cool. just like the korean stone pots that keep the delicious, heart-warming stews steaming hot. btw, modern pewter should be fine – it contains no lead. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pewter
