Infused Water Recipe_9

I’m totally guilty of never drinking enough water but as I’m sure you know, staying well hydrated SO important! Whenever I do drink ample water I always have more energy plus I see a major difference in my skin! I have less breakouts and off the charts moisture levels! Plus water helps boost metabolism, aids digestion and is just good for your body overall. So even if it’s just for the purposes of vanity (ha!) I’m making it a habit to drink more water no matter what. To make drinking water way more fun, I’ve been spicing things up by …

How to Keep Brown Sugar Soft 4

I’ve been doing a ton of baking lately and one of the things I absolutely hate is when I go to grab the brown sugar only to find it hard as a brick! (I’m sure I’m not the only one!) Recently I was at Sur La Table picking up a few things when I spotted these terra cotta brown sugar saver discs by the checkout. Coinciding with Halloween is the Day of the Dead, an annual holiday celebrated in Mexico to honor loved ones who have passed on. Traditional elements of a Day of the Dead celebration include candied sugar skulls, beautiful floral crowns and lots of vivid colors. While everyone’s talking about Halloween, my friends from His & Hers Weddings are here sharing a fun Calavera Cocktail recipe inspired by the Day of the Dead. (Calavera is the Spanish word for sugar skulls!) Made with tequila, grenadine and garnished with a hint of chili powder, this drink is a little sweet and a little …

(I’ve been indulging in this all summer long too!) Here’s how you make it!

Ingredients:
1 cup or so of fresh lemon juice
1 cup of …

Cacao Berry Smoothie Bowl_3

One of my favorite, quick breakfasts to make at home is a green smoothie bowl topped with fresh fruit and when I really want to indulge I mix it up with raw cacao for a rich, chocolatey flavor. I also throw in a variety of other superfoods that are jam-packed with nutrients including avocado, which creates a thick, creamy consistency like chocolate pudding, then I top it off with berries, hemp seed, cacao nibs and coconut flakes. The combo of the chocolate flavor and berries is a match-made in heaven! This is definitely not the smoothie bowl to eat daily …
