A couple of years ago I picked up a copy of The Smythson Guide to Everyday Stationery, a useful reference book on the art of correspondence by Smythson of Bond Street. I originally purchased my pink leather bound edition shown above as a gift for someone else but loved it so much I ended up keeping it for myself!

The book mainly focuses on etiquette and style but is also is a primer on stationery in general, covering such topics as watermarks, paper textures, typefaces and the appropriate paper weights for various types of correspondence.

I’m loving this bedding ensemble from Charles P. Rogers. Pure linen bedding is such a luxury and this seven piece set includes a duvet and shams made of fine European linen with beautifully finished hemstitch detailing. A coordinating 400 thread count prima cotton sheet set, also with hemstitch detail, completes the ensemble. Remember my stylish friend Linda who was featured in the March ’08 issue of Domino? Last weekend I stopped by her place for a visit and brought my camera along so I could give you a peek inside her quirky cool apartment in Chelsea.

If you could furnish your home entirely out of one place what would it be?

For me it would beABC Carpet & Home hands down. The store is insanely huge and has everything you could possibly need to furnish your home. I love their mix of products which runs the gamut from fine European antiques to mid century modern to Philippe Starck modern to Asian antiques, the list goes on.
