The beautiful light fixture that you see above really caught my eye at ICFF and made me stop in my tracks to check out the booth of John Pomp Studios, a Brooklyn based company that specializes in custom glass design and lighting fabrication. Its proprietor, John Pomp, is a master glass blower and churns out some of the most gorgeous light fixtures you’ve ever seen.

Another piece I really liked was this custom light fixture called the 4-B Light designed by Pomp in collaboration with Roman and Williams for the Royalton Hotel in New York.

Here they are in the Royalton’s restaurant, Braserie 44. Beautiful! Although ICFF was my introduction to John Pomp, his work seems as if it’s everywhere. His website states:

“john pomp’s current line of glass includes seductively shaped vases and lighting have been shown in numerous publications including house and garden, martha stewart living, wallpaper, vogue, instyle, one, W, city, real simple, elle décor, food and wine and on the front page of the house and home section of the new york times as well as the new york times magazine. he created an exclusive line of glass for tiffany & co. and donna karan’s new york flagship store and designed glass for an installation at jcrew’s rockefeller center store in new york city. his work is available at select stores including aero, jeffery, barneys new york, shelter in los angeles, elements in chicago, stanley korshak in texas, haus in arizona, hollace cluny in toronto and colette in paris.”

Clearly, all of the visibility and accolades are very well deserved!
